Attentively the audience listened to Reverend Anne’s wonderful story based on an Inuit’s mother’s love, which seemed to touch everyone who was present!
Led by Miss Richardson, the choir then showed off their hard work by singing beautifully.,
After much clapping, it was time for the ‘Mummies’ to receive a little something! Children from Holly and Maple Class handed out their beautifully made cards. Many staff stood as an adoptive ‘Mum’ (even Mr Massey!) for those children whose ‘Mummy’ unfortunately couldn’t make the event. Along with this, every ‘Mummy’ received a small posy of Daffodils, handed out by Oak Class.
A closing prayer from Reverend Anne gave us all a time to reflect on the service and message sent. The children then waved happily to their ‘Mummy’ as they departed back to class, apart from a few special children – the School Council., Quickly they helped the PTFA set up ‘Cafe’ and busily took orders,
A big thank you to the PTFA and the School Council for their help in organising this event. Along with a massive thank you to all the very supportive ‘Mummies’ – have a wonderful day on Sunday!
