The newly elected School Council members enthusiastically distributed the Harvest Festival food to residents at the Nora Parsons Day Centre.
It was wonderful seeing the young members introduce themselves to the residents, who enjoyed hearing all about the work of the council.
The children then entertained their elderly audience by singing a classic harvest song, The Big Red Combine Harvester, which had many of the residents clapping and singing along.
After their sing song at the day centre, the eager council members chatted with residents before heading back to school, telling their teachers and parents all about their day. Meanwhile, back at Nora Parsons Day Centre, the residents also chatted with equal enthusiasm about the fun they had singing along with their young visitors.
A splendid time was indeed had by all – not forgetting the staff who run the Nora Parsons Day Centre who took time out to organise the day and take part in all the fun.
