Just imagine 4000 books visiting your school in one day! That would mean having access to an amazing amount of authors and goodness knows how many characters, places, countries, worlds etc! Well that happened to us today (Wednesday 28th March 2018) and what excitement filled the school!
The children had bought in their envelopes with money, which had been given to them several days before, and eagerly looked for books. Again this was a wonderful chance for children to share their love of literature and illustrators.
A prize draw was also held and the winner won a gift voucher worth £7, which was eagerly used!
Martley CE Primary School first met The Roving Bookshop at the BeeLine Festival held last year at Worcester University and were impressed with their vast amount of stock and presentation abilities. Hence a visit was arranged.
The school were extremely happy to support The Roving Bookshop who is a small business selling independent books, with their motto of “No pencil sharpeners – only books!” They can be contacted by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone: 01455 822192 or why not check out their website: The Roving Bookshop
